SOC Analyst Home Lab Part 1
Project Overview
This SOC Analyst Home Lab simulates a corporate network for hands-on security practice. It includes pfSense for firewall and routing, Windows Server 2022 as a Domain Controller, Windows 11 and Ubuntu 22.04 endpoints, and Kali Linux for attack simulations.
In this SOC Analyst Home Lab, I designed and deployed a realistic corporate network from scratch. I created Protected, Employee, Attack, LAN, and WAN network segments, deployed and configured virtual machines, including pfSense for firewall and routing, Windows Server 2022 as the Domain Controller, Windows 11 and Ubuntu 22.04 endpoints, and Kali Linux for attack simulations. I connected each VM to its corresponding network segment, configured static IP addresses, and joined the endpoints to the domain for centralized management.
